LARAMIE -- The 3A state swim meet took place last weekend with a handful of Rawlins swimmers representing the Outlaws in the water.
Rawlins did not have enough state qualifiers to claim a team championship, but Matison Sanchez, Leilah Cook, Jazlynn Sheets, Sophie Laird and Anna Johansson all competed.
Sanchez was the only competitor on the diving board for the Outlaws. She outperformed 14 other divers in the preliminary round to move on to the finals, where she earned 11th place with 263.25 points.
Alongside Cook, Sheets and Laird, Sanchez was also part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that claimed ninth place with a time of two minutes, 2.26 seconds.
Johansson took on the 100-yard breaststroke event, swimming a 1:18.64 to earn ninth place.
