Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm had high praise for Fraser Minten after Saturday’s 5-3 road win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Bruins entered the game with Charlie McAvoy and Casey Mittelstadt out of the lineup. Yet, it was rookie forward Fraser Minten who stepped up against his former team.
Minten scored late in the third period to give the Bruins a 5-3 lead, which seemingly ended the game. He was also stellar defensively, and Sturm thought he was the best player on the ice.
“I thought he was the best player on the ice. He was just very, very calm,” Sturm said , as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage on Saturday. “The little details he had, he was ready to go.
