The lull in scoring ended this week with a new No. 1 series for the Juniors and a familiar name posting not just the season’s top match, but a personal best and his third house record.
Marvin Jaquish was looking for a knockout series and found it last Saturday when he took Route 33 North, landing at Blue Valley for a match in the Lehigh Valley Junior Traveling League. There, the 17-year-old from Phillipsburg registered his first perfect game and surprised himself with 800 to boot.
“I did some quick math and thought I needed the 11th one,” said the senior at Phillipsburg High School about a split that he thought cost him 800. “I looked up after I left the 6-7-10 split and saw that I had 800. It was a great feeling.”
