Steelers cornerback Darius Slay left Pittsburgh’s Sunday Night Football matchup with the Chargers after taking a hit to the head early in the second quarter.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Slay is being evaluated for a concussion.
While tackling Chargers running back Kimani Vidal, Slay was hit from behind by safety Kyle Dugger, with both players’ helmets colliding.
Slay was slow to get up and was attended to by the team’s trainers. He’s yet to receive a game status from the team.
Slay was replaced by cornerback James Pierre in the Steelers’ lineup.
In his first season with the Steelers, Slay has played 13 years in the NFL.
