November 11 marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I.
Every year at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, people around the world pause in silence to remember the sacrifices many have made so we can enjoy life today.
In Tamworth, local schools, serving personnel, veterans and the local community are invited to a service at the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall from 11am.
Tamworth sub-Branch president David Howells said it's important that we "never forget".
"Unfortunately, our world has seen other conflicts since WW1, but it's just a reminder of how futile war is really," he said.
