A “serious motor vehicle crash investigation” was being conducted by police and other emergency officials in West Deptford Sunday night, township police said.

Police said the crash occurred in the area of Hessian Avenue and Red Bank Avenue at about 5:50 p.m.

“Multiple road closures are in effect while emergency personnel and investigators work at the scene,” West Deptford police noted on its Facebook page. “We are asking all motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes to allow first responders to operate safely and efficiently.”

While additional details were not released, NBC10 in Philadelphia reported that multiple people were critically injured in the West Deptford crash.
