The Washington Commanders are taking on the Detroit Lions for Week 10. However, more than the game, the presence of President Donald Trump stole the headlines.
Speaking about the Commanders’ new stadium in an interaction with Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma on the Fox booth, he said, “By the way, they’re going to build a beautiful stadium. That’s what I’m involved in. We’re getting all the approvals and everything else. And you have a wonderful owner, Josh, and his group. And you’re going to see some very good thing.”
Under a deal between the team and the District of Columbia, the team will return to the nation’s capital in a new stadium, whose expected cost is around $3.7 billion.
This interaction came after the white House suggested changing the stadium name after the President.
