WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M Buffs’ football team picked up their second straight win after defeating Midwestern State, 56-42, Saturday afternoon.
After Midwestern State’s opening touchdown, the Buffs never trailed again in the contest.
WT quarterback RJ Martinez had another 400+ yard game after completing 32/41 passes for 437 yards, five passing touchdowns, and an interception.
Jayden Hibbler had a great game on the ground, rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Gene Sledge was responsible for the other rush touchdown.
In the air, Zach Phipps caught three touchdowns and recorded 132 yards. Trevin Edwards had 91 yards and a touchdown while Drew Zamar had 40 yards and a touchdown himself.
Defensively, the Buffs had four TFL, two sacks, and an interception. Ashton
