ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Following the tragic incident in which 51-year-old Adrian Gabriele Alexander shot and killed 50-year-old Mallory Jane Whitaker in front of their child, family friends of Mallory and her daughter are speaking out about the devastating loss.

“She had the biggest heart. And you could tell the main focus in her life was her daughter,” said Brandi Roberts, a friend of Mallory. “And it just hurts because you didn’t know. You didn’t know that would be the last time.”

“She was always consistently at practices and games and always cheering her on. She was definitely her biggest cheerleader. So, I mean, it was just she was a great friend,” Roberts said.

Roberts is a friend of Mallory’s, and their children play soccer together.
