IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Molly Davis was a guard for Iowa women’s basketball for the 2022-23, and 2023-24 seasons.
On Sunday, she returned to Carver-Hawkeye Arena as a member of Evansville’s coaching staff. Davis is a graduate assistant for the Purple Aces.
She got a standing ovation when shouted out over the public address stereos.
“Little me would never have anticipated that. To be back here and get that standing ovation, and seeing all the people in the jerseys and things like that really meant a lot,” said Davis.
Head coach Jan Jensen said it was good to have her back in the building.
“I love that kid. I love Molly’s story for all the right reasons of a team sports. I think we talked about Molly Davis when we got her. But I don’t think we really delved into the fact that she left
