Hawaii middle blockers Bri Gunderson and Miliana Sylvester had a match-high 12 kills each and the Rainbow Wahine won for the fourth time in five matches, defeating Cal State Bakersfield 25-11, 20-25, 25-18, 25-14 tonight at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

A crowd of 3,258, who were forced to clear out of the arena ahead of the UH men’s basketball game tonight, watched Hawaii creep to .500 in Big West Conference play at 7-7 and 11-14 overall.

UH is tied for fifth place with Cal State Northridge, who are both one game up on UC Irvine, with four matches remaining.
