Britain will be as warm as Turkey with wet and mild conditions this week. But the warm weather will swiftly end up flipping to snow and cold. ‌

Temperatures will soar towards 20C this week before a 500-mile wide -5C “polar plunge” is unleashed. Forecasters reckon five inches of rain will batter Scotland with two inches in western areas and an inch for most other parts of the UK. And warm continental air will see the mercury reach the high teens by Friday, approaching the 20.7C record for this time of year. ‌
