Five-Day Training on Animal Birth Control and Surgical Skill Development Organised by Department of AH&VS Concludes

A five-day training programme on Animal Birth Control (ABC) and Surgical Skill Development, organized by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) in collaboration with the Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), Goa, successfully concluded at the Dog Sterilization Centre, Dollygunj.

The programme, held from 3rd to 7th November, aimed to enhance the practical knowledge and surgical proficiency of veterinary officers and supporting staff involved in the ABC initiative across the Islands. It focused on improving skills in dog sterilization surgeries, anesthesia management, aseptic techniques, and postoperative care, promoting humane and efficient population control of stray dogs.
