The revitalised Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup is galloping ever closer, with thousands set to head to the foreshore this weekend for the two-day event.

This iconic event combines the thrill of live horse racing on the beach with a vibrant community festival, creating a weekend of entertainment, food, music and family fun against the spectacular backdrop of the pristine foreshore.

Rotary Club of Palm Beach president Rick Dawson said his club has three main goals, one lifting the profile of Rockingham, two supporting local business; and three raising money for charity, which are all supported by the cup.

“There’s the licensed section where people can pay, but the rest of the event, the festival, the rides, the entertainment, the whole lot, everything is a free day,” he said.
