SPOKANE, Wash. – Veterans Day is approaching on Tuesday, offering a chance to honor the service of American veterans.
As a recognized holiday, it brings some changes and special events to Spokane.
In Spokane, street parking meters downtown will not require payment on Veterans Day. However, garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will continue on their regular schedule.
Spokane Development Services and Spokane 3-1-1 employees will be available for in-person, online and over-the-phone support.
Riverfront Park is offering complimentary Looff Carrousel rides for all military members and their families, adding a special touch to the day’s celebrations.
