A Pakistan cricket team, led by Muhammad Shahzad, won the Hong Kong Sixes tournament for a record sixth time to become the most successful team in the competition’s history. They surpassed England and South Africa – five titles each – to create history.

En route to their title triumph, Pakistan lost just once – to arch-rivals India. They beat Kuwait in the final by 43 runs on Sunday.

Shahzad, who marked the victory by emulating Hardik Pandya’s iconic trophy celebration, also took a cheeky dig at his India counterpart Dinesh Karthik.

The Karthik-led India began the tournament with a close win over Pakistan in a rain-affected match following which the wicketkeeper-batter took to social media to celebrate the result.
