Suspicious death in East Village

A man died on the 800 block of 13th Street in the East Village neighborhood.

On November 9, 2025, at around 2:30 p.m., San Diego Police received a call for an unresponsive adult male laying on the sidewalk at 800 13th Street. The man had severe injuries. Within minutes San Diego Police Officers and San Diego Fire Rescue Medics arrived and provided aid, unfortunately the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Due to the suspicious nature of the man’s death, San Diego Police Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and are investigating this incident. It is still early in the investigation; however, it appears the man fell several stories from an apartment window.

The man has not been identified.
