A Brisbane family have made an emotional plea for help after their car was stolen with their beloved pet dog in the back.
Nathan McKeown was visiting friends near Davidson St in Wynnum with his seven-year-old German Shepherd Arnie on Friday night when the unthinkable happened.
Nathan’s friend’s Kelpie did not get along with Arnie, so he was put into the back of the ute to rest.
“He’s slept in the back of the ute before when we’ve gone away camping, it’s his safe space,” Nathan said.
Arnie was left with water and a window left open whole, Nathan went back to see his friends.
When he left the house to return home, the ute, and Arnie, were gone.
“I went and met one of my mates, he picked me up, we drove around looking up streets, checking car parks seeing if it had been abandoned,
