A 34-year-old Indian man has been sentenced to 21 months in prison in the United Kingdom for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on a British Airways flight. The convict has been identified as Javed Inamdar. He was travelling from Mumbai to London on December 14, 2024, when he assaulted the girl while she was sleeping.

Inamdar, a married shipping company executive with two children, stroked the girl’s hand before groping her, The Sun reported. During trial at Isleworth Crown Court, it was revealed that the girl woke up crying and screamed, “get the f*** away from me."

Soon after the girl woke up, she alerted the British Airways cabin crew. When confronted, Inamdar claimed he might have confused the girl for his wife. Cabin manager Rebecca Rooney testified that she found the girl “visi
