New Delhi, Nov 10: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday led a spirited roadshow in support of BJP candidate Anita Jain ahead of her nomination from the Shalimar Bagh B ward for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) bypolls.

Addressing supporters, Gupta said the BJP’s victory in all 12 wards going to bypolls on November 30 was essential to ensure the continuation of development across Delhi.

Before becoming Chief Minister, Gupta had represented Shalimar Bagh B ward and was elected MLA following the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly polls earlier this year. She accused previous governments of neglecting civic development due to political rivalries.
