Marnus Labuschagne has declared he does not care where he bats in the Australian line-up as the fight for top order spots reaches its apex ahead of the first Ashes Test.

After a superb domestic season, the Queenslander is looking to continue his excellent form when his side takes on WA in their Sheffield Shield clash at the WACA, which starts on Tuesday.

Following five centuries across the Shield and One-Day Cup, Labuschagne has cemented his place in the Australian line-up for the opening Test in Perth despite battling poor form over the past year.

The make-up of the top order remains a mystery as selectors weigh up whether to use Labuschagne as an opener or in his more traditional no.3 spot, or whether to play WA all-rounder Cameron Green or Tasmanian incumbent Beau Webster.
