Winter could truly be hitting the UK in full force over the next few weeks, as experts predict snowfall across numerous areas of Britain.

Experts at WXCharts, which uses MetDesk data, has forecast chilly winds will begin to flood the country from November 23, with 25 counties said to be in the firing line.

Scotland is predicted to take on the brunt of the cold weather as it makes its way down from the north. The maps have suggested the Highlands as well as parts of Aberdeenshire will see snowfall between 18 to 20cm.

It has been suggested snow will build up from Inverness to Perth, with some flurries expected in the central belt that encompasses Edinburgh and Glasgow.
