PATHANAMTHITTA: A man attempted suicide by jumping in front of a private bus with his four-year-old son. The two escaped unharmed due to the timely intervention of the driver. The incident happened near the Indraprastha Hotel in Adoor at around 9.30 am today. CCTV footage of the incident has been released.

The footage shows the father walking with the child along the roadside and suddenly jumping in front of a private bus that was coming. The driver immediately stopped the bus. Soon, the man got up, took the child and tries to flee. The locals intervened to calm him down. The reason for the suicide attempt is not clear. He said that he came to Adoor hospital with his wife and got panicked after his wife went missing.
