BENGALURU: A 16-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Kalasipalya, but the reason for the act was unclear. The deceased was been identified as Sharmila (16).

The girl was living with her parents and ended her life while her parents had gone to a temple in Tamil Nadu. The Kalasipalya police visited the house and conducted an inspection, and the body was sent to Victoria Hospital mortuary. Further investigation is under way.
