CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that they say caused $150,000 in damage to a College Hill home.

Flames broke out in the 1600 block of Larch Avenue just before midnight.

The initial call reporting the blaze came from Llanfair Avenue, saying the fire was across the street, leading fire crews to believe the fire was on Llanfair, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.

But it was behind that location on Larch Avenue, which delayed firefighters from arriving, fire officials say.

When they got there, they realized fire in the rear of the house had extended up the walls and into other floors.

Crews controlled the fire from the exterior initially, but say it quickly moved inside.
