GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Temperatures are dropping across North Central Florida meaning cold shelters are beginning to open their doors
In Gainesville, St. Francis House and Grace Marketplace at the Empowerment Center will provide cold night shelter services as long as overnight temperatures stay below 45 degrees.
“When the temperature drops below 45, we just do our best to accommodate and help out community members who are on the street and make sure that they have a safe place to stay” Katelyn Drummet, Director of development at St. Francis House, said.

Shelters are open 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day. Organizers say all people and pets are welcome.
