HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Residents opposed to mid-decade redistricting in Indiana will gather at Washington Square to write letters urging lawmakers to reject new congressional maps.

This comes amid federal pressure to redraw districts. A recent survey showing most Hoosiers want lawmakers to prioritize property taxes, utility costs and public safety instead.

The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Redistricting talks begin December 1 at the Statehouse during the 2026 regular session.
