Ryanair is introducing a significant change from Wednesday (November 12) in a bid to enhance its airport experience for its customers. The update - which will see the carrier move to 100% Digital Boarding Passes (DBP) - means passengers will no longer have the option to download or print a physical paper ticket, and must instead retrieve it through their Ryanair App.
This initiative, originally planned for May 2025, aims to eliminate check-in fees , reduce paper usage by approximately 300 tonnes annually, and provide travellers with immediate flight notifications. The low-cost carrier revealed that nearly 80% of its more than 207 million yearly passengers have already embraced the switch.
