Shane Lowry has had an impressive career since he turned pro in 2009. It all began with an Irish Open in his rookie year. From there, he won 8 titles in total, including the 2019 Open Championship. But 2025 has not been that great for the World No. 25. Although he jumped 2 spots on the OWGR rankings, he has been winless this season.
The last event Lowry played in was the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. He remained winless in this event, too, as he finished T12 alongside Keita Nakajima and Richard Sterne. Reflecting on the rounds he played, the 2024 Zurich Classic winner shared an Instagram post sharing his thoughts on the first DP World Tour Play-Off event. “Played lovely this week but too many mistakes ☘️,” Lowry wrote in the caption.
