Actor Rana Daggubati, often regarded as one of the key pillars of modern Telugu cinema, has shared his thoughts on the increasing pressure surrounding big-budget films and box-office targets. While promoting his upcoming film ‘Kaantha’, the actor addressed how conversations around Rs 1,000-crore collections have shaped industry expectations.
In a recent interview with Galatta Plus , speaking about the commercial race, he said, “What screams a 1,000 crore? We didn’t know that number before ‘Baahubali’. We didn’t know that our whole industry was worth that. Today, numbers have become a certain math, but that was never a calculation when any film was being made.
