A teacher at Bzanzi Secondary School in Dowa District was injured by assailants on November 8, 2025.

The teacher, identified as Charles Saidi, said the attackers threw a stone at him while he was riding a motorbike, causing him to fall.

He added that the assailants, three in number and armed with machetes, injured his leg, while his colleagues managed to escape during the attack.

The incident occurred near Bzanzi School as he was returning from buying fuel on the black market.

The attackers reportedly stole his mobile phone and a black T-Better motorbike.

Saidi has been admitted to Kamuzu Central Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.

The matter has since been reported to the Dowa Police Station for investigation.
