Several restaurant chains will offer free meals to veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day, which is Tuesday. Some are also raising money for veterans-related causes.
• Golden Corral will celebrate its 25th annual Military Appreciation Night by offering a complimentary dinner buffet and beverage from 4 p.m. Tuesday until close to all active-duty military, retirees, reservists, guardsmen and veterans. Military identification is not required. The offer is for dine-in only and does not extend to family members.
Local Disabled American Veterans chapters are also accepting donations at Golden Corral locations. In 2024, the chain served more than 185,000 free meals and raised more than $1 million for DAV. Since 2001, Golden Corral has provided nearly 6.7 million free meals an
