Actor Mike Smith, best known for his role as Bubbles on “Trailer Park Boys,” has been accused of sexual assault in Canada, according to reports.

Smith, 53, was charged with sexual assault on Oct. 2 in Halifax, Canada, for an incident that reportedly occurred Dec. 30, 2017, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, according to court documents obtained by CBC News . Smith has also been ordered not to communicate with the accuser or visit their school, workplace, or home.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Halifax on Monday, Nov. 10.

Following the charge against him, Smith has “stepped away” from his role as managing director of production company Trailer Park Boys Inc., the company announced.
