JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were killed after a car lost control and veered off the 60 Freeway, crashing into a box truck in the Jurupa Valley area Monday morning.
The crash was reported shortly before 5 a.m. on eastbound lanes at Country Village Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It unfolded when the driver of a black Honda sedan lost control and bounced off the center divider of the freeway. That sent the car across all lanes and down an embankment before it crashed into the box truck that was parked at a commercial business parking lot.
The driver, only identified as a man, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was found dead in the middle of the freeway, according to the CHP.
A female passenger was found dead in the car.
