Sydney Sweeney appears to be responding to the poor box office performance from her new from Christy .

For the film, the 28-year-old Emmy-nominated actress transformed into boxing legend Christy Martin . It was directed by David Michôd , who co-wrote the movie with Mirrah Foulkes .

Christy was shown in just over 2,000 theaters this weekend, but only earned $1.3 million in ticket sales. This comes out to an average of only $649 per venue.
