LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - With less than four minutes to go in Texas Tech’s 29-7 win over BYU on Saturday, Lee Hunter sacked BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier on the Cougars’ 19- resulting a backwards pas recovered by Lubbock’s now-favorite Heisman contender Jacob Rodriguez. It was ruled a fumble which was BYU’s second in the game, also their third turnover.
While the ball went back to the Red Raiders (and led to the final field goal of the day), money also went to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest- especially with two regular season games left, and the potential for even more as the Red Raiders continue to rack up victories.
