Angul: In a shocking incident, a woman was found hanging from a tree in a forest near a village in Pallahara area of Odisha’s Angul district on Monday.

As per sources, the incident took place near Mahalapasi village of Shikar Panchayat under the jurisdiction of Pallahara police station. The deceased has been identified as Gurubari Nayak (52), wife of Dharanidhar Nayak. ADVERTISEMENT

Locals spotted the body hanging from a mango tree about 50 metres from the main road and immediately alerted the police after identifying her. A team from Pallahara police station rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
