New Delhi: At least eight people were killed and a dozen others injured when a powerful explosion ripped through parked cars near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, creating panic across the national capital and prompting authorities in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai to sound a high alert.
The victims were shifted to LNJP Hospital.
Sources said a high alert was issued for Delhi, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh. According to the Delhi Fire Department, some blast-like sounds were heard before they received information
