Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh information technology minister Nara Lokesh has been elected to the state assembly for the first time from Mangalagiri assembly constituency in 2024, though he had been a minister in the past by virtue of being a member of state legislative council (MLC) earlier.

Yet, he thinks he has become a senior MLA and is teaching lessons to the newly-elected MLAs of the party on the governance and taking up the people’s issues with the government.

It has become a practice for Lokesh, who has now become a de facto chief minister, to hold an informal meeting with his cabinet colleagues at his camp office before the commencement of every cabinet meeting.
