Douglas Ward Thornock, 80, of Preston, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 6, 2025, with his wife, Pamela, by his side.

Doug was born on June 14, 1945, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Owen D. and Ada Ward Thornock. He spent his early childhood in St. Anthony and later grew up in Idaho Falls, where he developed an appreciation for the outdoors and learned the values of hard work, service, and faith that would guide him throughout his life.

Doug served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Auckland, New Zealand. Shortly after returning, he met Pamela Geddes at Utah State University, and they were sealed in the Logan Utah Temple on September 14, 1967.
