A Blue Earth County woman died in a head-on crash south of Mankato on Sunday, according to authorities.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the collision happened around 5 p.m. on Highway 22 in Decoria Township, near mile marker 47.
According to a crash report, 67-year-old Mary Gay Hlavac, of North Mankato, was driving northbound in a Cadillac XT4 when she collided with a southbound Dodge Ram 1500.
Hlavac died at the scene and the driver of the Dodge Ram, a 56-year-old Amboy man, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The patrol hasn't indicated what caused the crash, which remains under investigation.
Authorities say both drivers were wearing seat belts, road conditions were dry and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the incident.
