ROCHESTER, Minn. – A search is underway for an armed robber in Rochester.

Police were called to the Marathon/Apollo gas station in the 1000 block of 4 th Street SE at around 9:45 pm Saturday. Investigators say a man with a handgun entered the store, demanded money, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The Rochester Police Department says a K9 and a drone were sent to the scene but the suspect could not be found. Officers say they did locate a loaded magazine for a handgun and a bullet lying in a nearby roadway.
