Season 2 of “Landman” premieres on Paramount+ on Sunday, Nov. 16, but not all the season 1 stars are returning.

Jon Hamm won’t be back after his character, Monty Miller, had a massive heart attack during the season 1 finale.

“It is safe to say that Monty has passed,” series cocreator Christian Wallace confirmed to Variety in January. “But when you take one major player off the board, it opens up opportunities for other players — and I think that’s all I’m at liberty to say at this point.”

Wallace added that cocreator Taylor Sheridan had “big plans” for Demi Moore in season 2 . Moore, who plays Monty’s wife, Cami Miller, had a relatively small role in season 1. Her name will appear directly after leading man Billy Bob Thornton’s
