SPOKANE, WASH. - The Spokane Velocity are championship bound after a thrilling semifinal victory over the Portland Hearts of Pine. In a match packed with energy and emotion, Spokane emerged victorious in a penalty shootout to punch their ticket to the finals.

The semifinal ended 1-1 in regulation before both teams scored again in extra time, sending the match to penalties.

In the shootout, Spokane held their nerve, burying their shots and sealing the victory with a clutch save from Carlos Merancio.

The Velocity advance to the championship, where they'll face off against One Knoxville SC on Sunday November 16th at 4 P.M.
