“Days of Our Lives” star Suzanne Rogers is in remission from cancer.
“I’m feeling so much better. I mean, my summer was rough. I had cancer removed, radiation, that was tough. But I didn’t lose my hair. I guess I got it early,” Rogers, 82, told People in a story published Monday.
She continued, “I was stage two, and it was a certain kind of chemo that they gave me, it was pills and the radiation, and it didn’t affect it so that was good.”
Earlier in October, the actress revealed that she had been diagnosed with Stage 2 colon cancer.
Rogers, who has portrayed Maggie Horton on “Days of Our Lives” for 52 years, is the longest-running actress in an American soap opera.
In October, she told TV Insider that she felt like something “wasn’t quite right” with her body.
