TEXAS — At Texas Sports Academy, the future of learning looks a little different. Instead of spending all day in class, students spend two hours on academics guided not by teachers but by artificial intelligence.

Seventh-grader Aksel Jensen says the learning model allows him to spend the rest of his day doing what he loves most.

“I really like outdoors and playing sports,” Aksel said.

It made sense for Aksel’s family to transfer him from Alpha School to Texas Sports Academy.

“We have sports in the afternoon, and I think that drives a lot of people to want to come to school, hang out with their friends, and then have so much time to play sports with each other,” he said.
