ASHEVILLE - The Asheville Yoga Center property off South Liberty Street in North Downtown was transferred to a new company in October. However, yogis should not expect much to change as the property officially joins a wellness company that has been growing new locations in Asheville since 2022.

The transaction was the last part of a change of ownership initiated by the yoga center's long-time owners Sunny and Stephanie Keach in 2022, when they first transitioned the business over to AyurPrana, Sunny Keach told the Citizen Times Nov. 6. The Keaches opened the studio in 1997 and, in time, outgrew the space in North Asheville, requiring two expansions. The yoga center expanded into the former Femcare building on Liberty Street in 2015, the Citizen Times reported.
