A man was found dead during the weekend at the U.S. Postal Service distribution center in Allen Park.
Police were called about 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, for a death at 17500 Oakwood Blvd., said Allen Park Police Detective Lt. Jason Dobbertin.
The discovery was reported by maintenance; the individual was described as a 36-year-old man, and it was indicated that the death did not appear suspicious, Dobbertin said of the call. More: Police find 2 men dead, front window shot out at Detroit barber shop
The man was stuck in a mail handling machine and was dead for six to eight hours before fire officials were called, according to a report from ClickOnDetroit.
The man’s wife called the facility after realizing her husband hadn’t come home after his shift, ClickOnDetroit reported.
