Hard Rock Tejon will open this week off Interstate 5 near Bakersfield, with its first phase offering 24-hour gaming and dining.

The casino’s official opening is set for Thursday, Nov. 13, said an announcement by Hard Rock International in partnership with the Tejon Indian Tribe.

The complex is in the Kern County community of Mettler, near the I-5/Highway 99 split. At its opening, it will have a 150,000-square-foot gaming floor with table games and more than 2,000 slot machines, plus restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe.

The second phase will add a hotel with a pool and spa and a live entertainment venue. No date has been set for that opening.
