Remembrance Day is a statutory holiday in Alberta, and there are a number of ceremonies across the city for people to attend and pay their respects.

Field of Crosses

A Remembrance Day ceremony will be held starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Field of Crosses on Memorial Drive N.W., where more than 3,700 white crosses stand in honour of men and women from southern Alberta who died in the line of military duty.

Memorial Drive N.W. will be closed between Fourth Street N.E. and 10th Street N.W as of 9 a.m.
